Superstar rapper, 50 Cent, has been charged for domestic violence and vandalism for an altercation that took place back on June 23rd. In total, 50 Cent has 5 charges. One charge is for domestic violence and the other 4 are for vandalism. 50 Cent, legally known as Curtis Jackson, reportedly vandalized his ex-girlfriend's condo last month in Los Angeles. According to the release, Jackson was being very physical with her and she was able to lock herself in the bedroom. According to her, Jackson then kicked the door in and also kicked her. However, when police arrived, there was no sign of the rapper. Still, there was evidence of a struggle within the condo. The altercation took place at the Toluca Lake community.
According to the reports, the condo was indeed vandalized. The condo looked like a tornado went through it. There were clothes spread throughout the condo, as well as broken furniture. The release also stated that a television was broke, as well as a lamp. In total, reports estimated the damage around $7,000. Although her name wasn't released, we are told that she was in a relationship with Jackson for 3 years and he is her child's father.
Los Angeles City Attorney, Mike Feure, stated that "all alleged perpetrators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, regardless of celebrity or notoriety." Jackson's attorney, Scott Leemon, only wanted to remind reporters that Jackson has not been arrested, nor are there any outstanding warrants against him. Leemon added that Jackson denies all accusations against him. That was all Leemon said as he stated, "Out of respect for the legal process, we will not be commenting any further at this time." 50 Cent is set to go to court on July 22nd at the Van Nuys Superior Court. If Jackson is convicted on all 5 accounts, he could face 5 years in prison and $46,000 in fines.
